Haredi businessman from Los Angeles, who traveled to India on business, disappeared for several days and caused concern, but was finally located in a local hospital.
The man was supposed to arrive in New Delhi on Sunday. As the hours passed and he had not contacted his family, the worried family contacted the hotel in New Delhi, and it turned out that they had not arrived.
Los Angeles home front command was established, and as time went on they grew anxious for his fate.
Senior officials of Los Angeles acted on several levels, including diplomatic level, to locate the man. But hours passed and no sign of life came from the businessman.
This morning the man called his family and said he was injured in a car accident when he reached New Delhi, and was taken to the hospital. He said he tried to contact his family but could not.
The family, who was finally relieved, sent to New Delhi a relative and contacted Chabad emissaries operating there, to go to the hospital and provide food and medicine to the wounded man.
The family asks the public to pray for his recovery: Yehoshua Ben Rivka Henya.
