Last night (Sunday) approximately at 2:00, the Erlau Rebbe's room located at Yeshivat Ohel Shimon Erloy in Katamon neighborhood, Jerusalem, was broken into.

In the burglary many silver items were stolen, estimated at over 50 thousand shekels.

When news broke out this morning, the forensics department of the police arrived on the scene.

In recent months, the building of the Hasidus Beis Midrash is under extensive renovations, and following that security cameras in place did not work.

Hasidim raise the concern that Arab workers are responsible for the break.

They also point out that this is the second robbery experienced by Hassidus. As recalled, on Rosh Hashanah an expensive Sefer Torah was stolen from the Beis Midrash in Katamon neighborhood of Jerusalem, and eventually it was returned as a brokerage with the thieves, who returned the book - and were captured.
