Yosef Antebi, a Neturei Karta who was attacked last week in Amsterdam by a Muslim, went to the police and asked to dismiss the charges against the Muslim who tried to run him over. Antebi asked the police to allow him to meet with the Muslim, to explain to him that he was wrong, and that "not everyone who has an orthodox appearance is a Zionist."
In an email transferred to members of the Neturei Karta, Antebi reveals new details about the attack: "Rabbi Antebi walked innocently down the street, and alongside him drove the attacker. The attacker turned right suddenly into a nearby street, and almost ran over Rabbi Antebi walking on the sidewalk - (it is a street in order to enter it you must drive on the sidewalk.) The car stopped in front of Rabbi Antebi, when Rabbi Antebi was almost hit and run over by this car. Then Rabbi Antebi went back a little to let the car pass.
The stammering description continues: "After Rabbi Antebi stepped back, the car continued to advance, but did not go into that street, but simply stopped and blocked Rabbi Antebi's way. Rabbi Antebi said nothing, and went and turned around behind the car and continued to go forward on his way. Then the driver of the car came out and started ranting and raving from a distance. Rabbi Antebi who feared photographed him with his cell phone. Then he went into a store and asked them to call the police and asked for protection, but they refused. Then he came out and went into another store.
"Then the goy came and hit Rabbi Antebi with strong kicks in the stomach and fled. The Dutch police prefer to give each case a drawing of a conflict between pedestrians and avoid giving the image of anti-Semitic attacks and incidents in the Netherlands. But in fact this driver who looks Arab or Muslim did so because of reasons of hatred and anti Semitism. The fact that whatever he cursed and spoke against the Jews he did not mention road safety.
