Conservative Rabbi impersonated the police and arrested.
Conservative Rabbi, age 50 year from Wechester County, New York, was arrested yesterday after posing as a police officer.
It is suspected that the Conservative Rabbi became angry at driver in front of him who was driving slowly. The Rabbi overtook her car, parked his car on the side, and got out of his car and in his hand a police badge waved at the woman to stop.
The woman refused to exit the car and called the police. When police arrived the Rabbi claimed that he was angry because the woman was driving slowly and asked her to stop waving his ID card, the woman claimed he was waving a policeman's badge.
CBC reporter who published the story, says that it became clear that this was not the first time that he impersonated the police: the police have accumulated a number of complaints against him when he identified himself as a policeman and tried to arrest another person who called the police but the imposter managed to escape.
The Rabbi was arrested, and police plans to indict him.
