Staging incitement: "we need video of shouting Chardak for TV" • Listen

Video published on Channel 2 and won widespread condemnation, showed haredim attacking haredi soldier • Behadrey Haredim exposure: photographer staged the incident with soldier, to eliminate need to wear uniform at home • "It doesn't look good, and Channel 2 morons took it" • photographer: "The soldier was attacked before photography - but I didn't manage to record"

The general media 'celebrated' two weeks ago over a Haredi soldier attacked in the Bukharan neighborhood in Jerusalem, it turns out that there was an attack indeed, but was not filmed. What was shot was a repeated attack which was staged.

News 2 brought a video, a haredi soldier faced with a group of young people calling him a "Hard"k leave the neighborhood." The clip sparked outrage among the Israeli public, and there were many calls for tough sanctions on violence against haredi soldiers.

But was some of it staged? The recording which reached Behadrey Haredim exclusively, and is published here for the first time, suggests that the answer is yes. Behadrey Haredim reporter spoke with N.A. and heard things as they were:

Listen:

The soldier (S.G.) arrived at the scene following failure in his car, meanwhile a few boys gathered from a nearby yeshiva who assaulted him, snatched his kippa and dispersed.

After the event, which as stated was not registered by the camera lens, the photographer, also a soldier, saw a golden opportunity - to get rid of having to wear a uniform, and exploited it to the full. While agitating the haredi boys to return and attack the soldier, the victim agreed, as long as they don't physically attack him.

• The soldier did not shout and said to you, 'Shut up, what are you inciting them?'

"No, no, no, I told him, 'Listen I'm going to agitate them to shouting at you Chardak, Chardak, the soldier tells me "I have no problem". With these words he said to me 'no problem'. I told him "Listen, we need a video where they shout at you Chardak, Chardak for the television", he tells me "I have no problem". This is exactly what I mean, it doesn't look good, and at the end the Channel 2 idiots took it."

• The soldier enjoyed it?

"I'll show you pictures he's smiling. I told him, "can I shoot you?", he said, "have fun."

• He must have wanted an exemption from uniform?

"Yes, I'm also going to get [Exemption from uniform, Y.D.] because of him, also I'm going to ride it. I'll tell them I photographed the event and I am going to be harmed because of this, I don't want them attacking me every time I leave the house with a uniform , so I'm going to get an exemption because of it. Understand, one has to be smart, know how to exploit every thing for your purposes. "

The hotographed soldier said: "I can not speak without permission from the IDF spokesman, but later things will be clarified."

The IDF said to Behadrey Haredim: "The case in question is not known to the IDF, but given the reporter's request, it will be reviewed by relevant factors, and treated if necessary."

The soldier photographer responded to Behadrey Haredim: "There was an event, but I did not photograph the climax. That's why I tried to convince them to shout again. It's not staging or incitement, nothing was created here from nothing. There was an event, they attacked the soldier, I wasn't the one to incite them to do so. They shouted at him before I arrived.

"I'm sorry that a person with impure motives is slandering me and even said that I have a 'din of moiser', he himself sought to purchase the recording and sell it to channel 10 and when I agreed he decided to slander me. The crux of the event is not staged as such, because it occurred, but the continuation was basically an event that started before."
