Authorized by law: "Boss, I was late for work because I was davening shacharis"

You're late for work because you were davening shacharis? Excuse will be accepted. In light of expected summer clock extension, Deputy Minister of Religious Services Eli Ben Dahan is pushing a law for those who daven shacharis during day's sunrise is at a late hour.

The proposal was approved at the last meeting of Habayit Hayehudi and Ben Dahan concluded with MK Yariv Levin the Law Coalition's support.

New summer time is end of March to the end of October. Last two weeks of the new DST period, will create a problem those who daven: sunrise is late and therefore harder for them to get to work on time. The new law is intended to help them.
Type of law is for the need of the population of people with smaller salaries or working menial work, which they start in the early morning.

Deputy Minister Eli Ben Dahan: "I welcome the extension of summer clock, which benefits the Israeli economy. Meanwhile, I am working to make sure that the citizens of the state, especially those with smaller salaries or working in physical labor, will not be affected, so I want to allow them to pray in the sacred manner. This is an important social value."
