New York: "Death to Jews" on the walls of Far Rockaway neighborhood

Graffiti and addresses "Death to the Jews" were painted yesterday (Monday), on the wall of the Ateret Shimon yeshiva in Far Rockaway, under Rabbi Mordechai Groner's presidency.

The addresses were also written on the wall of a Jewish home and two Jewish-owned cars, two blocks away from the yeshiva.

Rabbi Shalom Klein, executive director of Far Rockaway Shomrim said: "Around 9 am we received a call from the yeshiva that they discovered the graffiti on the wall of the yeshiva. We arrived at the scene with reinforcements, and we discovered that graffiti was still wet and fresh.

"We split into 3 groups, one group rushed to nearby streets hoping to catch the suspect, a second group quickly scanned the yeshiva and closed the doors for fear of someone hiding in the yeshiva, and another group guarded the building from the outside.
"Half an hour later, we received another call, from a nearby home which found similar addresses. We rushed to the place and noticed a suspicious young man who managed to escape.

"We and the police closed the surrounding streets trying to catch the man, but without success."

The police collected security tapes from the area in an attempt to locate the culprit. "Meanwhile, there is tension in the neighborhood for fear of the criminal hiding in the neighborhood, and will try to operate again, but he was identified from security tapes and will be captured soon."
