Sophisticated trick of the right wing activist, Itamar Ben Gvir-attorney, succeeded in cancelling the charges against the boy from Hebron. Prosecution accused the teenager of being involved in the attack of a Palestinian and Israeli soldiers. One of them was asked to identify the defendant in court.

Ben Gvir seated on the defendant's bench another boy, who is not connected to the event, and when the soldier came to the witness, he asked him to point out the attacker. The soldier pointed toward the person sitting on the bench, and said he "recognizes him for sure"

Against the boy who was in the courtroom there was not any suspicion, and it turned out that the witness identified him without any reason. This being so, it was not possible to rely any more on the identification of the soldier as a witness.
Peace court judge in Jerusalem, Avital Chen, representative of the prosecution offered to cancel the indictment, and indeed it was canceled.

Following the trick, Ben Gvir said: "I believe that in many cases, if such tricks were conducted, the police or the Arabs would 'recognize' boys who were not there as in our case, when I seated on the bench a man who did not belong to the event which was the subject of the claim.

"I hope that the case will cause prosecution sources to take note and stop automatically siding in favor of the Arabs and police and against the hilltop youth."
