Tens of thousands participated in the largest protest in Manhattan today (Sunday) against conscription decree in Israel.

Tens of thousands of chairs were placed in the Federal Plaza Square in Manhattan, where a huge stage was set up on it sitting hundreds of rabbis, heads of yeshivas and rebbes. Amongst Admorim: Mahara Satmar Rebbe and the Rebbe of Papa.

While in the Lithuanian community in the United States, there was a debate whether to attend the rally or not, the Hasidic public was united, and arrived in droves.

Police mobilized hundreds of policemen who were guarding the demonstration in cooperation with the 'Shomrim' of New York and New Jersey.

A protest march marched from Brooklyn to Manhattan, as it includes installation of cages in which yeshiva students were handcuffed.

Tens of thousands of chairs were placed at the Square and a line of about one thousand buses led the public to protest. This is in addition to reinforced trains departing these moments from Williamsburg and Borough Park.

Thousands of yeshiva students are marching dressed in sackcloth towards the rally.
Demonstration moderator was Rabbi Yitzchak Glick, Safra Ddeina of the Rabbinical Association. Rabbi Yaakov Weiss, a leader of Satmar yeshiva - Kiryat Yoel opened the Assembly, followed by speeches of the rabbis: Rabbi Eliyahu Ber Wachtfoigel Rosh Yeshiva South Fallsburg, Rabbi Yaakov Horowitz Rosh Yeshiva Beit Meir, Noah Isaac Elbaum Rav in Queens, the Rebbe of Galanta, Rabbi of the Dushinsky community, Rabbi Naftali Hartzka Frenkel of Badatz Eideh Charedi, and Ephraim Waxman Rosh Yeshiva Maor Yitzchok.
