Preparation in climax for the prayer rally, which will be held this morning (Sunday), Rosh Chodesh Tammuz, at 6:30 at the Western Wall.
After the call of the Gedolei Yisrael, the rabbis of the Orthodox neighborhoods across the country spoke on Shabbos about the importance of participation of avrechim in the planned prayer rally at the Wailing Wall, against the provocation of the Women of the Wall.
In Haredi concentrations speakers went around calling the public to participate: "Wailing voice heard from Zion" cries the auctioneer, "by order of Maranan Rabbis Gedolei Yisrael shlita, call the masses of Israel who fear God to guard their Holy Temple and participate in morning and mass prayer at the Western Wall".
Listen to the call:
In recent days the initiators, deputy mayor of Jerusalem Yitzchak Pindrus and Yossi Deitch, dealt with organizing transportation to the assembly, hiring organizers to confirm participants do not trail into provocations which an eccentric group may initiate, attempting to answer a lot of media interest and queries received from the media all over the world.
As revealed for the first time in B'Chadrei Charedim, the initiative was launched after Hgray"l Steinman, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, the Rebbes of Gur, Belz and Erloy and Hgr"s Auerbach encouraged it and gave their blessings.Rebbetzin Eliyahu against Women of the Wall: "very serious"
Meanwhile, the Jerusalem police reinforcements are conducted in an attempt to avoid any fuss or fight between parties.
According to the decision of Gedolei Yisrael, following embarrassing incidents which occurred in the seminary girl's demonstration last month, it was decided this time to avoid formal women's protest. Instead, only avrechim and adults will be called, no girls and no yeshiva students and children.
RebbetzinTzvia Eliyahu, wife of Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu zt"l, referred this week to the Women of the Wall: "This is very serious, I wonder where they learned it. Whether they had knowledge of all the laws? And whether they studied the Torah? "She said in an interview with Channel 7, and added," Please show us the law, we have great rabbis, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu the rabbi's son, ask him. Who allowed them?"
Although women's prayer was not formally organized a group of Orthodox and religious women will appear this morning and to pray at the Western Wall. This is an initiative of the organization Women for the Wall, who initiated last month the seminary girls protest.
Last weekend there were the general media claims against Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, rabbi of the Western Wall and the holy places that he is organizing the rally and allegedly sided with the Orthodox struggle against the Women of the Wall. Rabbi's office denied it, and said that the rabbi is doing everything to reach a compromise through dialogue with all parties.
