Again clashes in Beit Israel, Jerusalem: Activists of 'Mishmeres Hatznius' vandalized, punctured and smashed windows of a vehicle owned by haredi girls living in the neighborhood. Police force which came to check the girls' complaints, was attacked by fanatics and a skirmish took place.
Activists of 'Mishmeres Hatznius', operating under a cloak of secrecy within the Haredi neighborhood, decided that the haredi tenets are harming the fabric of the neighborhood, after homeowners living in the building of the girls' apartment recently raised serious allegations against them relating to matters of modesty.
The story culminated today (Thursday) when vandals punctured the vehicle owned by the girls, smashed the car's windows and poured a sticky substance on it. One of the girls who owns the vehicle, called the police - and it arrived with reinforcements.
With the arrival of the police officers at the neighborhood, tens of fanatics surrounded the police car, threw stones which shattered the rear window of the car - and violently attacked riot police and police forces.
Additional forces were called to the scene and dispersed the inhabitants.
The complainant was taken to the police station to file a complaint. There were no casualties.
Inspectors who came yesterday to hand out reports to neighborhood stores, discovered that their car windows were smashed.
