Giant rally against conscription law of Perry Committee, scheduled to take place on Sunday in front of the Israeli embassy in Manhattan transfers the place, at the request of Police New York.
Since a march will take place on Sunday near the Israeli embassy building in Manhattan, the rally will be transferred to the square, Federal Plaza in Manhattan. This is mainly due to the availability of public transportation.
Meanwhile, at this time there is a meeting of the Association of Rabbis in the U.S. and led by the Rebbe of Galanta who asked all communities to participate and unite around the demonstration.
Call came after a conversation he had with the Satmar Rebbe in which he requested that he use his influence on the community of Satmar Rebbe Hmhary"y to join the rally.
As of this hour, most rabbis agree that one must participate in the demonstration and it seems that the Satmar Mhry"y will participate.
The problem is that matters of honor are probably more important than the protest, and there are participation conditions from the chassidus requesting Assembly chairman and two speakers.
"It will be a historic rally," said a source involved in the details, "according to the plan there was not such spectacle since the decree of recruiting girls. All communities from Satmar, chassidim and Lithuanians will demonstrate."
As revealed this morning in B'Chadrei Charedim Main Lakewood Yeshiva asked the organizers to postpone the planned rally at first to Wednesday, because tomorrow is supposed to take place the Annual Campaign and yartzeit of the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Shneur Kotler zt"l – during which thousands of graduates gather together.
