Tzipi Livni vetoes 'Amar Law'

In an arm-twisting game took place between Hatnua of Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, and Habayit Hayehudi of Economy Minister Naftali Bennett, which recorded a new episode last night: Hatnua chairman vetoed the proposed Amar law.

Hatnua are angry that Habayit Hayehudi torpedoed the Stern law, the law initiated by party member MK Elazar Stern. This week Justice Minister Tzipi Livni torpedoed the discussion on the increase of religious reform announced by the Minister of Religious Affairs Naftali Bennett and his deputy Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan.

Shas officials have already expressed outrage yesterday at Amar offices, for formulating a deal with Rabbi David Stav. An acute post was formulated and distributed, but at this stage they avoid going out in public, and in the voice of Harav Ovadia Yosef – on the subject.

Another sigh was heard from the direction of MK David Rotem, Chairman of the Constitution, who has repeatedly made it clear that he will hang the Rabbi Amar Law in the committee, and that the law no chance to pass.
