Miracle in Lakewood: 11 year old boy went with his friends on Thursday night for a nighttime swim in a private pool belonging to an Orthodox family in Lakewood.
The boy told his friends that he intends to swim underwater from one end of the pool to the other, and indeed, he jumped into the pool and swam under water - but when he reached the other end of the pool, he began to sink.
A lifeguard who noticed the child jumped into the pool and pulled him out of the water when he was unconscious and without a pulse. An avrech who was at the pool at the time rushed to perform CPR and called Hatzalah, and indeed due to the immediate implementation of resuscitation it was completed successfully.
The child was taken to Jersey Hospital in Lakewood, and during the night he recovered. It turned out that he was suffering from dehydration before starting to swim, and that was another reason for the loss of consciousness.
Shortly before Shabbos the boy was released to his home and on Shabbos his father made the blessing of Hagomel for him.
