What a wedding: "Abusive mother' married the murderer Ami Popper

Prisoner Ami Popper, who is serving a prison sentence for killing seven Palestinians, married on Sunday evening with who is named the "abusive mother' from the Elior Chen case.

Popper went out on vacation this morning, according to Prison Service procedures, to marry for the third time.

The wedding was held in the Tur Sinai farm near Jerusalem, and was attended by a small number of participants.

The one who conducted the marriage ceremony is Rabbi Eliezer Waldman, head of Yeshivat Nir Kiryat Arba, who refused to talk about his participation at the wedding.

Popper was accused that in תש"נ murdered seven Palestinian workers waiting for work at Rishon Lezion, using a gun he stole from his brother. Following the murder serious rioting broke out in Judea and Samaria.

He was sentenced to a lengthy prison term and should be released only in 2030.
Six years ago, his first wife and young son were killed in a car accident. He remarried in 2009 but divorced within a short period.

The 'abusive mother' case was exposed when a baby was hospitalized with serious head injuries. The case unveiled Chen, suspected of the abuse behind the eight children of the mother and full knowledge.

Following the agreement signed with the State Committee for the prosecution, she was sent to jail for five years only. In the indictment the Judges wrote: "We cannot understand how a mother can give consensus to such acts."
