Millions, dozens of families and one bad investment

New fiscal sting affair shakes the ultra-Orthodox public: information obtained to B'Chadrei Charedim show that recently a young ultra-Orthodox man from the city of Beitar Illit (name withheld) who owns a Change in Jerusalem - fell for the sting of 4 to 6 million, leaving behind dozens of investors without their money.

The stinger is complex, dating back to a previous sting: A few months ago a Yerushalmi Change, a familiar figure in the Haredi Street, left debts estimated at tens of millions of shekels in a sting case. According to investors, "Until now there is no one to talk to and no money was returned."

Against the Change owner in question a file was opened in execution, while a file was opened at the Badatz Beis Din.

What was not known to many is the fact that the Change owner was one of two partners in a well known production company in the Haredi sector. The second and main partner, also known as an investor in the real estate business, had to deal with the effects of the sting carried out by his partner.

And here comes the present sting: the Beitar Change owner invested for a long period of time large amounts of money in the production company. Recently he discovered that the rope around his neck is getting tighter, until he realized that there was a stinger of 4 to 6 million, probably formed due to previous sting.

Preliminary and partial information, there are dozens of casualties in this affair, some of them families from Beitar Illit and Jerusalem, which deposited to the Change large sums of money without knowing where he invests them. For example, a young man, a father, who took a mortgage of NIS 600 thousand from the bank - and now, is left without anything.

Haredi yeshiva student, who invested 160 thousand dollars at the production companies a few months ago, says: "I would loan him money as one of the active charitable funds. Last winter I gave them a high financial loan. A few days before Lag B'Omer one of them showed me a document that he is invested in production, and since then I'm dealing with promises that he tells me another day I will repay you! Another two days, but so far I haven't been given a shekel. The production company is registered in other names. When you realize that you've stung - you cannot do anything."

Concerning the Change from Beitar, friends say: "He'll reach an arrangement with creditors, he can go back to normal life, and he also wants to."
