Nationalist attack on Jerusalem Day: Yesterday (Wednesday) evening, an Orthodox driver was attacked in east Jerusalem on his way to the Western Wall, and with 14 Haredi passengers that were in the van and were saved from massacre.
In a conversation with B'Chadrei Charedim the driver said: "I went to the Western Wall through the Buddy Joze in East Jerusalem, and suddenly an Arab woman shouted and said," What you are looking for on our land. "Arab youths started throwing stones on my vehicle. While I tried to flee the scene, he Arab who was behind me blocked me with his car and didn’t let me move. After that, a young Arab came to me with a knife and tried to stab me, but I managed to close the window and miraculously escaped unharmed."
The driver explains that "it looked like our end was in sight."
One lightly injured person was hit in the head and was taken to Shaarei Zedek Hospital. Complaint filed with the police.
Police caution to be careful on the way to the Kottel, both because of overcrowding, and because of the Arab rioters.
