Tiding for Israelis traveling to the U.S.: Starting today (Tuesday) there is no longer a need to fill out the entry form on the plane.

This is the I-94 form which passengers receive before landing on U.S. soil, and which the traveler used to hand to immigration officials at the airport.

The cancellation of the form started gradually: First were the Israelis who came to Chicago, and from today - May 7 - all Israelis landing in New York will enjoy the change. Starting from the 14th of this month, travelers to LA will not have to fill out the form and from the 15th of this month the new procedure will apply to all airports across the U.S.

On arrival at airports in the U.S., Immigration and Customs authorities will scan passports of passengers and the electronic information will be updated with the passenger's departure from the country.

At the exit from the U.S. the passport will be scanned again, and immigration authorities will know that the foreign traveler left the state's borders.

Travelers who still want to receive the form for their own needs, can enter the web site of Customs and Border Control, fill all the details and flight details and receive a form in print.
