Ashdod: missionaries attacked Yad L'Achim activists and arrested

Shortly after missionaries descended on the streets of the Palmach and Sanash in Ashdod, and began distributing materials in mailboxes, Yad L'Achim activists were called to the place. Activists arrived in the area and warned the residents about the danger of tempting them in the form of innocent-looking brochures placed in their mailboxes. Missionaries quickly left.

Shortly after activists learned that the missionaries have moved on and now they are giving away the same destructive substance at the shopping complex 'Star Center'. The activists were quick to appear while explaining to passersby that the purpose of missionary material distribution is only forced conversion of many Jews as possible and baptism.
The furious missionaries went out of their apathy and violently attacked the activists. Passersby rushed to call the police due to the brutal violence. A police car which appeared arrested the two missionaries who were detained for questioning. Police said they have opened criminal cases.

Zvi Draenger, operator at Yad L'Achim Ashdod, says: "Earlier missionaries tried to grab the camera which was in the hands of one of the activists who intended to document the missionaries in their acts of violence, when they started hitting and behaving brutally, the missionaries removed the mask from the face, and all those present understood that the people have malicious purpose. Our explanations became superfluous."
Meanwhile, Israeli police recently announced the closure of the investigation against the two activists Yad L'achim arrested last year on false suspicion while a foolish attempt to link them to violent action.

Binyamin Kluger, a department member against the missionary, was arrested in front of his wife and children and had to spend a night in the Russian Compound. In the morning, when brought to court for remand hearing, the judge admonished the police and stated that there is no evidence linking him to allegations that supposedly attributed to him and ordered him released immediately.

At the same time, Binyamin Wulcan was detained, coordinator of the department's field operations against mission at Yad L'Achim, for those groundless suspicions. This week, as noted, the police announced the closure of the case against the two.

From Yad L'Achim was informed that the legal department is working on how to respond in light of closing the case and the harassment and embarrassment involved in opening it.
