"Shabbos was desecrated at the Rashbi grave," said Rabbi Mordechai Halperin, committee chairman of Moshav Miron.
Halperin also threatened that unless the inquiry committee will immediately examine the failures and the total collapse of infrastructure and transportation in Miron, he will go to the High Court.
In a conversation with B'Chadrei Charedim, Halperin says, he warned in advance the weak points and the authorities ignored warnings addressed. He also tells of Shabbos desecration which occurred, he claimed, at the Rashbi grave compound:
"On Shabbos afternoon, I was horrified to see dozens of organizers from the security company 'blue and white' entering the grave, carrying radios, wireless devices along with the security company manager who was Jewish.
"They used for no reason instruments they carried in their belts, talking on cell phones and radios, as if it was a regular weekday. Latter, aware of the sanctity of Shabbos and the sensitivity and sanctity of the place, knowingly ignored all this and openly desecrated Shabbos.
"This company was paid for - by the National Center for holy places. So I got a call in the midst of Shabbos. I thought it was pikuach nefesh, but then I realized that this is a technical matter which a member of the security company wanted to handle."
Halperin explains that when there was such a mass Shabbos desecration under the noses of thousands of guests spending Shabbos in Miron, it was no wonder that later came the great collapse as a warning sign.
"The sewages the National Center should have provided did not arrive in the area," he says. "At all. For a long time there was no running water because of a water system malfunction. I wanted to call a plumber to try to locate the problem, but it is clear that without a police escort, he cannot enter the Miron area.
"We called the police dozens of times, but there was no answer. A police officer, who was supposed to come to the Council, did not bother to show up. There was no one connecting the bodies responsible for Lag B'Omer, which could be approached. We tried to reach someone on behalf of the National Center, and they also evaporated as if the earth had swallowed them.
"The same applies to the sewer. System failed to load. It is not built for an event of this magnitude. Pipe burst, flooding the sewage main street up to the grade. Cesspools overflowed. Again, there was no one to take care of it, because the roads were blocked and no one approved a plumber to arrive."
