The FBI announced tonight (Wednesday) that the suspected material in an envelope sent to U.S. President Barack Obama, a poison ricin was found, similar to the material sent to Republican Senator. Statement said that there is another thread linking the envelopes sent and executed the attack on Boston Marathon Monday.

Secret Service, responsible for the safety of Obama, said earlier today that the letter containing "suspect material" was sent to the president. According to the publication, the letter was found at a security scanner, before coming into the hands of the number one U.S. citizen.

"The letter was intended for the President arrived yesterday at the special postal inspection facility built after the 2001 anthrax attacks, and sent away for further testing in the laboratory," said Brian Leary, a spokesman for the Secret Service. He also noted that "the FBI opened an investigation into the incident."

A similar incident took place yesterday, after a letter with poison was sent to a Republican Senator. Capitol Police launched an investigation after an envelope that included the deadly poison ricin was sent to the office of Senator, when the United States is still trying to recover from the attack at Boston Marathon.

Suspicious envelope was addressed to the office of Republican Senator from Massachusetts, Roger Wicker, but it was found yesterday afternoon at the mail sorting facility before it reached the office. Tests showed that the letter, sent from Memphis, contains the poison ricin - which can lead to death within 36 hours, and was sent for further tests.

As a security measure, security officials decided to contact two of the Senate office buildings. Reuters reported that Capitol Police are interviewing people about the poison envelope.

American Bureau of Investigation FBI reported tonight (Thursday) that they arrested the suspect suspected of sending letters: Paul Kevin Curtis. The suspect was arrested at his home in Corinth, Mississippi.

It is suspected that Curtis "is responsible for sending three letters sent by the U.S. Postal Service, containing granular material tested and found as ricin poison," it said.

Suspect arrested for involvement in Boston attack

A man was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the attack (Monday) at the Boston Marathon - reported this evening (Wednesday) CNN. According to the report, the suspect was brought to court.

A Federal Authority said the arrest was made after they studied images from two videos. A senior official being briefed on the investigation said earlier that authorities have a picture of the suspect holding - and perhaps even placing – a black bag where the second bomb exploded at the finish line of the Boston Marathon, which killed three people and injured 176 others.

The source added that the suspect's picture from the security camera expense of department stores Lord & Spencer, located across the street from the explosion occurred yesterday, presented a clear picture of the scene - CNN reported.

After leaving FBI headquarters Boston police chief Ed Davis told, that researchers are working hard and a lot is happening, "but did not provide additional information about the progress of the investigation.
