44% of haredim: Israel is not a good state to live in.

Newspaper Yisrael Hayom, in cooperation with Institute for New Wave Research, conducted a special Independence Day survey that examines the degree of satisfaction of the residents of Israel, their identity with the land and their desire to live in Israel in the future.

When it comes to national pride - the largest segment of the population that is not proud to be an Israeli is the ultra-Orthodox - 21.1%. Another 9.5% said that I 'I am not so proud to be Israeli'. 73.1% of haredim have stated that they do not hang a flag at home or on the car on Independence vs. 22.4% planning to hang a flag.

According to the survey, we are proud to be Israelis this year than last year: 75% of respondents declared that they are "very proud" to be Israelis, 5% more than last year.

Another statistic indicates dissatisfaction of Orthodox in the country: 44.1% argue that Israel is not a good place to live in, more than double than the secular public, where only 20.1% think so.

Yet, despite the difficulties, 91% of those surveyed Orthodox prefer to live in the country, however, especially among the secular is the highest rate - 12%, who would prefer to live abroad. Additional groups where there is a high proportion wishing to move abroad: among ages 35-44 - 15.4% in academics - 12.3% of those with income below average - 22.3% and the residents of Sharon - 16.1%.

The question of identity - Do you see yourself primarily Jewish or Israeli? Said a clear majority, close to 65%, that being Jewish comes first and only after that Israeli. However, there has been a significant decline in the feeling of affinity to the Diaspora: Only 77% feel an affinity for world Jewry today, compared to 82% last year.
