Moshe Aryeh Friedman strikes again: a Neturei Karta resident of Vienna, who immigrated with his family to Antwerp, and failed to register their children in ultra-Orthodox schools, continuing his quest for revenge in the haredi community in Antwerp.

After dragging the schools into the courts, and supposedly filed a complaint in the Haredi community which was behind the murder of a young man from the community nine years ago – this week Friedman turned to the state attorney general, demanding an investigation into the events in Machzikei Hadas in Antwerp.

The demand came following an incident in Antwerp on Motzei Pesach: Wife of Rabbi Yeruham Englander, a grandson of the Jewish community leaders in Antwerp, a Pshawarsk chassid, passed away. Machzikei Hadas leaders, who were supposed to deliver the burial permit, required for that – according to one of the city sources - 50 thousand Euros.

Rabbi Yeruham, a well-known charitable figure, refused to pay. This fee for issuing the burial permit from the authorities, but there is no burial plot. Following his refusal, the funeral was delayed and activists tried to mediate and bridge. Eventually half the amount was paid, and promised to pay the balance in installments. Thus, the funeral departed, while the father did not know about the arrangement.

One of the grooms of the deceased, decided to document the transfer of funds, whilst in the background a Machzikei Hadas source says, a receipt for the money will not be issued.

Friedman, who heard the story which caused a stir in the local community decided to transfer the case to the Attorney General. Friedman also gave the prosecutor the names of people related to the case, including the names of the Maczikei Hadas leaders in Antwerp.

It should be noted that Machzikei Hadas collects from every member of the community membership fees to win it all services provided, by Machzikei Hadas, including burial services.

Meanwhile, the Antwerp court today held a second round of case of refusal to register the daughters of Friedman into the Yavneh School. Recall, the school board refused to accept the girls to school, claiming they did not know the Flemish language.

At a hearing in court rejected, an interim ruling, Friedman filed a lawsuit against the school, and decided that there is no legal obligation of the school board to accept at this stage the three older daughters to the institution.

Friedman, who appealed the decision, brought the girls to the education department of the municipality, where the girls were examined on the Flemish language. Investigation found that girls speak the language well.
