Eve of Holocaust Day, residents of the street were surprised to find a local pub, who continues to work as usual. The pub, located on 125 Herzl Street, were many people drinking beer and hearing music, and only after neighbors complaints the police arrived, stopped the celebration, reports Yediot Rehovot'.
As we know, during the Holocaust Day, the law prohibits the operation of entertainment venues, and allows only activities appropriate to the content adapted to the six million victims of the Holocaust.
Neighbors, accustomed to noise emanating from the bar every day, were surprised last Sunday, when other business owners closed their businesses, but the pub - continued activity and music. The pub operators, who have not invented a name, do not deny it continued to operate after the entry of Holocaust Day, they say, they could not tell the guests, who were holding bottles in their hands, to throw them out.
"I am aware of Holocaust Day," says the owner, "on that day I wanted to close the pub at five, but I do not know why on that day there were a lot of customers, more than any other day. I asked to close the bar and did not continue to sell, but what can I say to those who already bought a drink? I'll take the bottle and pour it? There were those who wanted to enter the pub and I stopped them."
Neighbors point out that a little after 21:00 pm, when they saw the pub continues to operate, they called the police who sent a patrol car, the cops ordered the owners to shut down the pub and turn away the party-goers.
From the police's response: "Following the call at the center, police arrived at the scene, scattering the people who were in the pub and it was closed. The following day the owner was summoned for a hearing, commissioned a report on the illegal operation of the place."
