"Instead of secular journalists and photographers attempting to document Haredim walking at the time of the siren, I went out to photograph them walking during the siren", explains Dudi from Jerusalem, who recorded this morning (Monday) during the siren a group of peace activists who arrived at Kikar Hashabbat in Jerusalem in order to hunt down with the camera lens those haredim who walk during the siren on Holocaust Memorial Day. But its people were caught when they themselves are walking and 'esecratiing' the siren.
Watch:
"I was there," said Dudi to Behadrey Haredim, "the photographers did not arrive. But just a minute before the siren, a group of left-wing activists landed at the place and dispersed in Mea Shearim, Kikar HaShabbat and Strauss Street. Their goal was one: to catch by camera those haredim who walk during the siren."
David says that when the siren sounded, he could not remain indifferent, "The Haredim on the street were standing and not moving. But rather those secular began to move to try and document what they could not."
"I felt the hypocrisy was crying out loud here! They can preach morality to us, and they themselves are what? Even when they barbeque on Shabbat, we do not tell them it was a desecration of the Shabbat and is forbidden. They should remember who beat up Holocaust survivors, Haredim or secular. That's why I had to record and distribute the video so at least we will know the truth."
