Baby lost consciousness and evacuated in critical condition

A six months old baby was found unconscious in the home of his babysitter on Jordan Street in Bnei Brak.

Hatzalah and Hatzalah Gush Dan medics were called to the scene and began performing advanced resuscitation, at the end pulse returned, and the child was evacuated to the Schneider Petah Tikva hospital in serious condition.

At first the infant was treated in the trauma unit, and his condition stabilized – and was later transferred to Intensive Care.

Menachem Indig, a Hatzalah Gush Dan medic, said: "We found the baby when he is without a pulse and not breathing and immediately began performing advanced resuscitation, thank G-d resuscitation attempts were successful and the baby was taken to Schneider Hospital."

Indig adds that the babysitter said she fed the child and put him to sleep. Later on she found him unconscious.

Zeevi Tepper, a Hatzalah medic, said that paramedics of the adjacent Terem branch joined the resuscitation and the baby was evacuated in severe condition and sedated and on a respirator for further medical treatment in hospital. It was reported that the background was checked and it seems that the background is strangulation.

Please pray for the recovery of Meir ben Sarah.
