17 Stitches: singer Yaniv Ben Mashiach slipped off bicycle

Singer Yaniv Ben Mashiach was hospitalized on Friday night at Beilinson Hospital, after sliding about 10 minutes before Shabbos with his electric bike which reach 50 kmph (like a motorcycle) with all the shopping and preparations for Shabbat.

Ben Mashiach lost consciousness for several minutes. Passersby gave him first aid and called his wife Yael, who immediately evacuated him to the hospital. A few minutes after Shabbos came in, they arrived at the hospital, where he underwent a series of tests, seven injections to relieve pain and 17 stitches in his chin. Yaniv suffers of dry blows in the jaw and other parts of the body and is getting antibiotics to prevent infection and relieve pain. He remained under observation until Shabbos morning, but because of the Shabbos remained in the hospital until Saturday night.

The accident occurred at Petah Tikva, at whether the Em Hamoshavot intersection. When the singer turned right, front wheel became punctured and slid on the road. He flew about 10 meters and lost consciousness.
