In the USA the writing of the Sefer Torah in memory of ' Shayah of Krestir zt"l and his descendants, who served as Rebbes in the dynasty, is being completed. The Sefer Torah will be brought into the Beis Midrash in the town Krestir (Bodrogkerestur), Hungary, towards the yahrtzeit which will fall next Shabbos – 3rd of Iyar.

On Thursday was the first stage of writing letters in the Sefer Torahin Williamsburg. Tomorrow the writing will continue in Kiryat Yoel, and from there the Sefer Torah will go around another few cities, towards its transfer to Hungary this weekend. Hundreds are expected to visit the grave over the weekend and many are supposed to stay for Shabbos in the city. The ceremony of Hachnasas Sefer Torah will be held together with the yahrtzeit event at the place.

Meanwhile, this week a special story which happened about a month ago in Krestir, was published: A group of avreichim spent Shabbos in the town's hospitality on Shabbos Parshas Ki Tisa, which fell on 20th Adar. The group planned to continue on Motzaei Shabbos from there to Poland to visit the grave of R' Elimelech of Lizansk zt"ll as the next day on Sunday, 21st Adar was his yahrtzeit .

One of the avreichim in the group, grandson of Hagaon R' Yechezkel Rota – one of the famous rabbis of the United States, retired to bed on Friday night, after the meal. Somehow, he could not fall asleep. The avrech decided to go to the Beis Midrash, located in the same building of the hospitality, that was once the residence of the Tzaddik of Krestir, but it turned out the door was locked. Due to the late hour, the organizers locked it fearing local scoundrels might try to enter it. The avrech was left outside and began to say Tehillim next to the windows of the Beis Midrash – from which penetrated a pale light.

A few minutes passed, and suddenly one of the organizers - a descendant of the Tzaddik, appeared with the keys. After opening the Beis Midrash, the organizer told him why he had arrived there at this hour: "I lay on my bed and fell asleep. Suddenly I saw in my dream my elder R' Shaya'le calling me to get up and go down to the Beis Midrash, to open the door. I awoke for a moment and was sure that the dream is wishful thinking. Since the all day I was busy preparing for Shabbos, and the figure of the Rebbe danced before my eyes naturally. I thought to treat it dismissively and go back to sleep.

"On second thought, I said, let's try and see, is this dream really false talk or does it have a grain of truth. When I saw you standing there, saying Tehillim, I was shaken and moved. I realized that the Tzaddik bothered to come to me in the dream, so that you could say Tehillim calmly and pleasantly. Indeed, the Tzaddik takes care of those who come to his home from the Upper World as well."
