The police broke into the house and detained cancer patient

Serious allegations of police brutality, when executing an order yesterday (Tuesday) at the Shnuel Hanavi neighborhood in Jerusalem: A policeman knocked on the door of the ultra-Orthodox family in the Shmuel Hanavi neighborhood, looking for a family member, against whom an execution order was filed.

The mother of the family presented the officer with a notarized document attesting that the child does not live at home. "He insisted to go inside and search. DI did not allow it and proved to him that the order in his possession does not allow searching the house," recalled a family member, in a conversation with B'Chadrei Charedim.

"However the officer broke in together with another officer and attacked the members of the household, including minors, aged 15 and aged 13 was injured. Officers called for reinforcements and mobility motorcycles arrived and detectives searched the home cupboards.

"The officer refused to identify himself, the 15.5-year-old boy, who was beaten, was arrested on charges of assaulting an officer, the father was also arrested."

"I am a cancer patient" says the mother, "but they held me for questioning for insulting a public official."

Shmulik Ben Ruby, Jerusalem police spokesman said to B'Chadrei Charedim that during an execution carried out in Jerusalem in Shmuel Hanavi neighborhood, two police officers were attacked and injured. One person was arrested for assaulting police officers, and his minor son was detained, and police plan to recommend indicting him.

As for complaints about police conduct, Ben Ruby says that they are baseless.
