The Rav of Komemiut, Hagaon R' Moshe Mendelson, ordered all residents who are hosts on Pesach, or rent their homes or 'B&B' (tzimmer) to guests to prevent them from eating machine matzos.
In other words, machine matzos are "Bal yerae ubal yimatze" in the settlement during Pesach.
At the basis of the takona, is the teaching of Hagaon R' Binyamin Mendelson z"l, the first Rav of the settlement, stating that "in Komemiut one uses on Pesach only hand baked matzos and not machine matzos."
In his letter to families looking to stay in Komemiut over the chag, Hagr"m writes, "I will once again remind of the takona of my elder Maran the Gab"d zt"l, which was accepted by the entire public as custom of the place and kept all these years."
The Rav cites the passage in question, and then he adds:
"Therefore, the hosts and public and private renters should make a condition with guests and tenants, and ensure that all who enter our borders will keep this practice, they and their families and those accompanying them. And certainly they should not accept for accommodation or for rent those who do not wish to keep it."
As known, the Hasidic public does not use machine Matzos on Pesach. Among Belz Hasidim there is a widespread story when once the Rav Hakadosh the Mahar"a of Belz zt"l was given a bill of sale of chametz, in which among other things, they included the machine matzos he had in his possession as candidates for sale to the non-Jew among the other chometz products, the Rebbe instructed to omit it from the bill and responded: "How can one express himself about matzos G-d forbid that there are kosher Jews who eat it during Pesach, as chometz?".
