Freed: prisoner Shmuel Weissish, a key activist in the violent struggle against the 'Space' store in Jerusalem, was released yesterday (Sunday) from prison.

Weissfish was involved in the fight against one of the branches of the computer network which opened in Jerusalem's Geula neighborhood. Following part of the violent struggle, and after being convicted of various offenses - he was sentenced to two years in prison, which he served in practice a year and three months.

Recently the IPS parole board determined the he may be released early after deducting one third of his punishment. The decision was a routine procedure, and the deduction is due to 'good behavior'.

Yesterday, the Jerusalem community celebrated the release. Tonight (Monday) he will celebrate again in Ohel Sarah in the Meah Shearim neighborhood, a celebration in which family, friends and members of the Eideh Charedis are expected to participate.
Shmuel Weissfish refused to comment.

When in prison, more than a year ago, the Eideh Charedis held a solidarity rally, "Rabbi Samuel is not led to jail alone, Haredi Judaism is all led him, since Reb Shmuel himself was not judged, but what he represents, the purity and holiness, the pure Judaism," they spoke then.

Later, the 'Space' branch was caught up in financial difficulties and closed the stores. Friends of Weissish made sure to update him - behind bars, and they say, "He was so happy. This was proved from above that the struggle was purely on the holiness of Jerusalem."
