Rabbi stated: "There are blacks who want to kill Jews"

Rabbi Zvi Hershel Schechter, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva University in New York, raises a media storm this past day after a blogger revealed a video that he is making racist statements.

Words of Rabbi Schechter were recorded without his knowledge at a meeting held last month in London.

The meeting dealt with child abuse and Rabbi Schechter expressed the opinion that there is no prohibition and no fear of complaining to the police of abuse cases.

However, he warned that one should not support the child's words without checking the claims further. Rabbi Schechter explained that taking a side without checking things in depth can cause an innocent Jews to share a prison cell with "a black, a Muslim or a black Muslim who wants to kill the Jews."

Rabbi Schechter warned that children may lie, "at the end the story may be found in fairy tales."

Recording disclosed on the blog FailedMessiah.com sparks outrage against Rabbi Schechter and the institution he heads.
