The cornerstone of the Talmud Torah of Satmar in Boro Park, attended by thousands, was set today (Sunday).

The building will have 70 classrooms, a banquet hall and a neighborhood Beis Midrash.

The event started today at noon, New York time, on 36th street corner 13th Avenue, and was partially closed to traffic, when on both sides stands were placed and on them were students of the Talmud Torah and Yeshiva students.

The talk of the day in Satmar is about the discovery of a small note written 37 years ago by managers of the Satmar institutions, on thirteenth of Nisan 5736.

The same day the cornerstone was laid for building of the first Satmar Talmud Torah when the Rebbe the Divrei Yoel zt"l, laid the foundation stone. The managers of the Talmud Torah gave him a statement that all will be done according to his instruction.

The Rebbe zt"l put the note in a bottle and put it in the foundations of the building.

This note was forgotten, but its photograph reached the management of the institutions by accident, causing great excitement. It is estimated that the Rebbe will cache the same note the new structure.

The building inaugurated by the Rebbe zt"l contained only 10 classes.
