Slonimer Rebbe: Satan took over Bennett

During recitation of the Torah at seuda shlishit, held at the Great Beit Midrash of Slonim on Slant Street in Jerusalem, the Rebbe expressed himself severely against Naftali Bennett, chairman of Habayit Hayehudi who connected with a secular government.

In his words the Rebbe said: There are members of the religious community who chose to connect with the Convicted Soviet and cooperate with them, but know that it is not them, it is Satan who overtook them, we shouldn’t be angry at them."

Later on he said: "There is someone behind everything and we should pray for them for doing so, no one will manage to harm the Torah world not even one letter."
The words shocked the Chassidim, who said they saw the Rebbe is greatly pained by the events.

The Slonimer Rebbe joined the Council of Torah Sages of Agudath Yisrael a month and a half ago and is considered as one of those who cares for the completeness of Eretz Yisrael.
