Ministry of Education: A student received a recruitment order will not be budgeted

Those who thought the cancellation of the Tal Law is something technical that will not lead to trouble in the yeshiva world, was quickly corrected. While in most of the yeshivas the boys were instructed to go to the base and report according to law, there are a few Roshei Yeshivas, who instructed not to do so.

The result: boys received recruitment orders, and put them in the dustbin. But the orders kept coming, and eventually the arrest warrant also came, as accepted by law.

Following this morning Amos Tzayeda, director of religious institutions, the Ministry of Education issued a letter with clear instructions that the yeshiva student, who received an individual stabilization for service, will be given a budget up to the date of attendance.

Tzayeda writes in his letter that the amendment tests for support of Torah study and special operations in religious institutions, allowing the continuation of the yeshivas and kollel budget, after the cancellation of the Tal Law, was extended by Education Minister Gideon Sa'ar to 31 August 2013. But support for the student who received an individual stabilization for regular service will be given only the set date for his appearance in the order.

Meaning: a student who will not report as required by law, risks losing the benefit for him. Whoever will report, will continue to receive the benefit up to the date mentioned above, which falls this summer, hopefully by then the Israeli government will will find a solution to the complex subject.

Reference directive is due to the cancellation of the Tal Law, which prevents the conference budget without arranging appropriate legislation.

MK Moshe Gafni said to B'Chadrei Charedim: "This decision is not nothing new and there is no change in the current situation. We held talks with Deputy Attorney General who said there was no difference in the situation till today. Writing the letter was intended, apparently, just to add fuel to the fire of incitement and hurt those who study Torah."
