A policeman who secures the entrance to the Western Wall shot a woman of the "shawl cult" after he suspected her as a terrorist.

A woman of about 35 arrived at the entrance to the Western Wall, covered in black clothes and blankets. The woman moved towards the policeman at the entrance, suspiciously.

The officer called her to stop, and when she did not respond to his calls and kept moving toward him, he fired a shot into the air. After she didn't communicate and continued towards him, he fired at the suspect's legs and hit her foot. The police took control her, and then she stopped.

In an investigation, it became clear that this is a Jewish woman, belonging probably to the "shawl cult". Police point out that the background is not clear.

The woman was taken in moderate condition to Shaare Zedek hospital with a gunshot wound to the lower limbs.
