Head of the military wing of Hamas, Mohammed Daf, spoke tonight (Tuesday) in a recorded statement on Al - Aqsa station, where he declared victory over the IDF. "The balance of power has changed. We see the barbaric attack and killing of children. The enemy destroys our homes. We have defeated the army. It is defeated."
"IDF soldiers are facing soldiers who are eager to die and factions which are united. The steadfastness of the Palestinian people is what brought about victory in battle."
Regarding the cease-fire he said: "The shooting will stop only if aggression will stop and the blockade will be removed."
At the end of his remarks, a barrage of rockets was launched at Gush Dan district.
A barrage was also shot towards the Beersheba area. Nine rockets were fired, four were intercepted and others exploded in open areas.
After a period of calm in the Jerusalem area, rockets were fired this evening at Beit Shemesh and Jerusalem area.
"Iron Dome" intercepted a rocket over Jerusalem and no reports of injuries or damage.
