Hareidi avrech invested NIS 11.60 and won 17 million in lottery

A religious man in his 30s, married with two children with whom he lives with his parents, filled in a lottery yesterday (Tuesday) at NIS11.60, and this morning discovered he won 17 million.

The winner, resident of the center of the country, fills in a lottery occasionally for a fixed amount of a little more than ten shekels. "Our economic situation at home is not easy," he said after winning. "I work as an employee and get paid a low salary and my wife does not work at all."

The man said that as a believing a person he is careful to pray to Hashem and ask him for help for himself and his family, "I work hard but always believe that the salvation of Hashem is in the blink of an eye, and this is my agenda, by which I live," he explained.

The form with which the man won, is a regular lottery with random numbers which he filled in the booth next to his home.

In some of the prize money he intends to buy an apartment. But he does not forget to give a portion of the prize he received. "Of course I'm going to give ma'aser of my winning money and help the extended family who is in a state that is not easy economically," he said. "I would like to make people happy, and now I got a gift from Hashem and I am just a messenger."
