Mazel Tov: after 33 years the Naki family from Jerusalem is finally embracing a daughter this morning (Wednesday).
Rabbi Shlomo Naki, 50, a familiar figure in the Bukharan Quarter and its environs, was informed this morning of the birth of his daughter after 33 years of marriage.
Rabbi Naki, grandson of Rabbi Menashe Naki zt"l, associate Hgr"o Yosef, drives during the year to give lessons to young students and scholars in several places. 33 years ago he married, but to date, despite the prayers and blessings he received from Gedolei Yisrael he still did not merit embracing a child.
This morning, at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, the first daughter was born.
"Great joy", he describes the feeling in a conversation with B'Chadrei Charedim. "Almost 34 years we prayed and waited, how should we not be?" Rabbi Naki says that even after the birth of his first daughter he continues to pray for those who have not yet merited. "And G-d will bless them."
News of the birth of little baby rolled to the attention of family members – whose happiness knew no bounds.
As mentioned, a similar case occurred more than six months ago, when Rabbi Shalom Lovatin and his wife Sharon, Breslev Hasidim from Beitar received the news on the birth of their first son, after 27 years of marriage.
