Dov Hikind dressed up as a black man and caused a media storm

Member of the Legislature of the State of New York, Dov Hikind, caused a media storm: at a party given by friends for Purim the observant public representative dressed up as a black football player. Hikind wore a black wig, painted his face black, and wore sun glasses on his eyes.

Journalists at the scene rushed to commemorate him, his wife and son dressed up as blacks. Indeed, due to the quiet season which now prevails in New York, the news headlines managed to capture the front pages of the newspapers.

Member of the legislature of New York, representing the black population was quick to respond that she is shocked by the lack of sensitivity of Dov Hikind, when he chose to dress up as a black man and insult the blacks.

Hikind, in turn, responded that it was Purim - a holiday where everyone dresses up, and that he had no intention to offend anyone.

The media reported on the costume and reminded of the anger of Hikind himself at an Italian fashion designer who dressed up as a chassid.
