Orthodox real estate tycoon from New York Rubin Schron filed this week a purchase offer for the sky scraper 'Empire State Building' in Manhattan.

Schron, who heads a real estate company, Cambio's International, suggested to the property management company two billion dollars for the building which is one of the most prominent symbols of New York.

Schron's lawyer said that he is ready to give $ 50 million upon signing the contract and close the deal within 90 days. Manhattan real estate tycoon estimates that the value of the historic property is at least two and a half billion dollars. Part of the proposal suggests the current company will remain with interest if they wish.

Malkin family and the Helmsley Foundation, sublease contract holders, must approve the proposed transaction, investors also need the support of others.

Empire State Building is a skyscraper in New York, located at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 34th Street. Its height reaches 381 m (with mast head, 436 feet) with 102 floors. The building officially opened on May 1, 1931, and took the title of world's tallest building, the Chrysler building, carrying it until then (for one year only).

For many years the Empire State Building was the tallest building in the world. After the collapse of the Twin Towers following the September 11 attacks in 2001, it is again the tallest building in New York. Empire State building has 6,500 windows, 73 elevators and 1860 stairs separate the street level to the 102nd floor at the top of the building, which is located in a public observation deck, which allows viewers to see the view of the city and is a favorite destination for tourists.

At night, colored spotlights illuminate the top of the tower. The lighting is determined according to the period or special occasions.

Rubin Schron is one of the world's largest charitable people who don't move without the blessing of Gedolei Hatorah. He attended Yeshiva Torah Ohr, is a frequent visitor to Israel, and visits the home of Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky often.
