Young woman from Bnei Brak who was on vacation with her husband in northern Israel, complained yesterday (Tuesday) of unusual headaches and weakness, and went for medical tests in Ziv Hospital.

Hospital tests revealed intracranial bleeding, and she was transferred by helicopter in critical condition to the government hospital in Nahariya, where doctors discovered using a brain aneurysm during a CT. Due to the urgency of the matter, it was decided after a few minutes to transfer her again by helicopter to Tel Aviv's Ichilov Hospital, whilst on a respirator and drowsy.
This is a young woman of 23, in her first pregnancy, who suffered a sudden blood vessels brain aneurysm. Upon arrival at Ichilov Hospital she entered Interventional Brain, where the medical team led by Dr. Shimon Maimon, director of the invasive Neurology department, and Dr. Tali Jonas - Kimchi, director of the Neuro- Radiological department managed to close the source of bleeding.

During the operation, a thin catheter is inserted in the aneurysm location, and with special medical adhesive which blocked the continued blood flow into the brain. The unique action took place without complications, and in recent hours she had further surgery to remove blood stored due to the bleeding, which should relieve the pressure on the brain. The fetus is doing well.

Please pray for the full recovery of Batya bat Ruth.
