The vibrations of the giant rally held in Manhattan on Sunday, in a huge demonstration against the draft decree are still floating in the air. At its margins, other details are now revealed.

Last Thursday, the Satmar Rebbe fasted all day for the success of the rally. This was the way of his uncle, the Divrei Yoel of Satmar zt"l, who used to fast every time there is a demonstration on matters of religion. Since on Sunday was Roch Chodesh when fasting is prohibited by halacha, the Rebbe fasted early on Thursday. On that morning there was tefillin laying for his grandson, an event when the Rebbe drinks a lechayim usually after Shachris. This time, due to the fast, he made do with congratulations.

Yesterday,Hgr"s Auerbach phoned the Rebbe and thanked him for organizing the rally. Hgr"s stressed that the nation in Eretz Yisroel drew great encouragement from the rally, and he hopes that things will influence and seep into government institutions.

In addition, a support letter was received from the Rosh Yeshiva of HaRama Yeshiva in London, Hagaon R' Eliakim Schlesinger, who expressed encouragement and satisfaction and of the large and united rally, and thanked the Rebbe that he had to bring about a Kiddush Hashem.

Yesterday, the day after the rally, the Rebbe came to visit the graves of his uncle the Divrei Yoel, and his father the Barech Moshe of Satmar zt"l in the cemetery in Kiryat Yoel. The Rebbe visited the cemetery on the occasion of the Simcha of marriage of his grandson, the chosson Harav Yisroel Yoel Teitelbaum, son of his son-in-law Harav Baruch Teitelbaum, and son of Hagaon Av Beis Din Volave with the bride daughter of Harav Hagaon R' Herschel Ashkenazi, son of the Rebbe of Malesk , held last night at the Great Beis Midrash in Williamsburg.

After shachris the boys of Shiur Daled went around with Kvitelach before the Rebbe, and then he went out to the nearby cemetery. As soon as he entered the tent, the Rebbe began to weep uncontrollably, which lasted about ten minutes.

After lighting candles at the grave of his uncle the Divrei Yoel, and his father the Barech Moshe zt"l and his mother the Rebbetzin, the Rebbe stood between the tombs and said Tehillim. After reading the kvitellach, he went up to his uncle's grave and prayed softly. The Rebbe addressed the rally which was held the day before and said chilling things:

"My holy uncle, we carried out your mission. We did what you taught us to do at this time. We fulfilled your wish. Daven for us, for our family, for all the students of Satmar, for all of Am Yisroel, especially for the residents of Eretz Yisroel, that the terrible decrees will be canceled and, together with Klal Yisroel we will merit refuos and yeshuos and all the best."
