A tense meeting was held this morning between the Minister of Economy and Chairman of Habayit Haheyudi Naftali Bennett and the Orthodox who join the civil service.
Bennett reached the center of Yad Sarah in Jerusalem, where the event took place, assuring the audience that he would take care of the Torah world. "For the first time the State of Israel legally recognized Torah study as a National Value," said the Minister to the volunteers. "We are making history in this sense. Torah study is an integral part of the burden and is equally difficult to things I did in the army."
At the end of his speech, when recruiters were allowed to ask questions, a large number of participants expressed their protest and frustration of the situation. "When did Lapid visit a yeshiva?" One of them asked. And then asked, "How do you feel to be responsible for the cancellation of the Torah?"
When leaving the meeting, the minister said to journalist Yoni Kempinski Channel 7 that he has learned how to work for unity and to avoid any issue of hate.
