Seven feet of water flooding Lakewood

Lakewood town flooded: heavy rain falling since early morning in the town of Lakewood, and flooding streets, homes and schools. Water level reaches two meters.

Metrological service warned that there may be flooding into the evening.

Organization Chaverim reported that during the past hour there were forty families whose homes were flooded, as well as calls received from schools and synagogues.
Lakewood Police Department in cooperation with Chaverim, are calling on the public not to try to drive vehicles in flooded streets, as dozens of cars are stuck on the flooded roads.

Dozens of basement apartments are flooded in the city and organizations volunteers are working to rescue people since the morning and pump water.

As a result of the heavy rains power cables also snapped and there is a power outage in some areas.
