It's time to declare war • Yehuda Meshi – Zahav prepares

It is clear that the battle is no longer just the issue what they call 'equal burden', the campaign is about the entire front, for what we represent. For no one ever thought for a moment their request for Haredi integration in the labor market, is out of their great love for us. Suddenly they care about our future and our children's future for a living. For their purpose is, as they themselves defined it, to 'empty the pool', to empty the sea of Torah and Judaism.

These are also not political game rules of a democratic state, since even in a democracy the majority does not trample the minority, and certainly does not try to impose or change ideological views and opinions by laws, penalties and sanctions and threats of projection to jail.

Only in totalitarian states are citizens' lives conducted according to the world view of the ruling party, in which framework both state life and individual life management are subject to the government. A totalitarian regime seeks to penetrate all areas of life - politics, economy, society, education and culture - and mold them according to its perception.

They are trying to push us to the wall and beat us in every field, in laws of religion, in the cornerstones of Judaism, the Jewish character of the state, educational institutions, as well as the private pocket of every one of us.

They are not the first to try this, way ahead of them was the British General Sir Alvin Barker, who came to Israel in 1946 to crush with an iron hand the imposed war by the Irgun and Lehi on Britain. He published an anti-Semitic statement: 'Beat the Jews in the most painful place - in their pocket. He also said: "Just think of what we spend on these Jews with money and lives. Yes, I despise them all, whether Zionistic or not."

Break the siege

To break the siege, and like in any tactic of war, one has to divert the initiative and take the battle as quickly as possible into their territories, it is necessary to move the pendulum to their side, to show and prove to them that all their draconian laws are depleted from validity and authority, that they do not represent any threat to us and turn them into a mockery. That sanctions and prisons do not frighten us, on the contrary - we are more than happy to fight.

There is an urgent need for four or five 'Nahshon ben Aminadav' - yeshiva students of military age who will appear in the recruit centers of their own accord, and stand upright without flinching with their books in their hands. And declare proudly and boldly: We do not acknowledge this law, and sitting in jail does not deter us.

They will be the founders of "Yeshivas Maharam of Rotenburg' named after Rabbi Meir of Rotenburg of the ba'alei Hatosfos imprisoned by Emperor Rudolf the First in Anzisheim Fort, Alsace region in Germany, where he sat and studied Torah until his death in prison.

To their call, 'Mi le'Hashem elay', will join the many thousands of yeshiva students who refuse to enlist, many branches will be established for the yeshiva of Maharam of Rotenburg all over the country, which will gain support and encouragement of all Gedolei Yisroel, and thus we will knock at this foolish law and prove to them that the paper on which this law was written is not worth its value.
