Stir in the network: Why are Haredim not hired for employment?

Miri Kaplan, an Orthodox woman who posted a status last week on Facebook on non-acceptance of Haredim to jobs just because they belong to the Haredi sector, aroused great interest, and has thousands of likes and hundreds of comments.

Kaplan raised the status after hearing that when her husband left one of the major food chains in Israel, he was caught in a situation where a secular cursed an orthodox beggar who asked him for a donation: "Go work, you parasite." Kaplan said that "her husband could not remain silent" and in response walked over to the secular and asked if he runs a business. When he answered that he does he wondered, "Maybe hire him instead of cursing him?" According to Kaplan, "The guy turned and left."

Kaplan, who completed matriculation and psychometric route, studied a profession and tried her luck in many workplaces; she wrote that she does not understand the attack against the ultra-Orthodox public who does not work - while she can indicate that it is customary not to accept Haredim for employment.

"I even agreed to a wage of 25 shekels an hour and even then some people who returned to me balked out." And it also explains why: "Because I'm married, a mother to a six months old baby, I do not have enough experience in the field and especially because I am Orthodox."

She says, "I've heard a few times from a job interviewer the question: 'What if you give birth every year?' So, next time you feel like saying 'orthodox parasites, think for a moment, if you had a business would you accept a 'dos' to work for you? "
