Crown Heights yeshiva students planted an ambush for a thief

A gentile in his 50s, who lives near Crown Heights, found an original way to make a living - every morning at six he would to the Beis Chayenu Beis Medrash, in the neighborhood, empty out the various charity boxes scattered round, which were filled during the day which had passed, and disappeared with the profit.

Recently the thief added, and started prying in personal lockers of the yeshiva students and the pockets of men suits.

His courage and self-confidence grew, and during this past Shavuos the thief emptied the charity box located in the upstairs hallway.

On Thursday, the boys decided to end their waiting for the thief. Indeed, at six as usual he arrived in the building, and went straight to the charity box, where he intended to start the work day, but then a surprise awaited him, a group of young men jumped on him in the act, and held him until the police came.

The boys also presented to the police the CCTV video tapes taken during Shavuos, in which the thief is clearly seen when he breaks the charity box and dumps them into his pockets.

The thief was arrested and the boys were relieved.
