Instead of protest, support demonstration: on Thursday was canceled a ceremony for the Netzach Yehuda Battalion of Nahal Haredi which was scheduled at Givat Tachmoshet in Jerusalem, due to information about a planned sikrik demonstration at the ceremony location.

Soldiers explained that the cancellation of the ceremony is not due to fear that the demonstration would harm the ceremony, as police know how to handle protesters. It was postponed for fear it will cause friction and hatred between brothers.

However, later it was decided to hold the ceremony on Sunday afternoon at the planned location.

B'Chadrei Charedim has learned that a group of Orthodox is initiating on social networks a show of support for Orthodox soldiers.

An invitation page has opened on Facebook inviting Haredim to join the rally: "We have to organize a mass of normal Haredim to get there," the page stated which so far 60 people joined. According to the organizers of the rally, support is important since, "the righteous system of the cruel ultra-Orthodox street did everything to send them to hell for sake of heaven and remembered them only at the end of basic training."

"When it is convenient for haredi parties," says one of the organizers, "they mention Orthodox soldiers and wave them as proof that the Haredim serve. In preparation for the elections Orthodox parties remember the Orthodox soldiers for their votes, but abandoned them during a time of test, so therefore the support should come from us."
