Haredi soldiers attacking affair in Meah Shearim yesterday (Sunday) came up at the meeting of equality burden at the Perry Committee, Chairman Perry asked to emphasize that the escalation in the Haredi society and attempts to hurt Orthodox soldiers serving in the country is a phenomenon which will be handled here and now.

Housing Minister Uri Ariel suggested during the meeting to open a hotline of Nachal Charedi rabbis and the army, in order to address the soldiers in distress, physically or mentally, as happened this week in several locations. "It is important these soldiers have who to talk to within the community," emphasized Minister Ariel.
Minister Limor Livnat said: "It is our duty to think about how besides condemnation how can we protect Haredi soldiers. What we saw on Thursday is a worrying step we have to think about. I suggest examining alternatives to allow Haredi soldiers to stay in if they are unable to return home.
Chairman of Yisrael Beiteinu, Avigdor Lieberman responded to the case on his Facebook page: "On Haredi leaders and their parliamentary representatives to condemn wholeheartedly and without any reservation the attempt of Meah Shearim neighborhood residents to harm two young haredi soldiers who were dressed in IDF uniforms.
The committee also addressed the violent demonstration of the congregation, held last Thursday: Minister of Public Security Committee briefed the events of the protest: "The demonstration was very violent, police were beaten, and horsemen were injured, and given guidance to harshly enforce the riots. This week filed eight charges against rioters. This is not a simple story; we will prepare for the following demonstrations with that same toughness."
